Upgrade steps
Identify your CNR-MPV2 hardware revision by checking device serial number and looking it up in the revisions table.
Make sure you have downloaded firmware update which matches your hardware revision number. Flashing firmware which doesn’t match your hardware will leave the device in unusable state voiding the warranty.
Extract ZIP with firmware to any folder on your PC.
Double click on the executable (.exe) file in destination folder (the filename may be different depending on firmware version) to run it and wait for dialog box to display.
Press and hold the "M" key on your player and connect it to PC. Hold the “M” key until device is recognized and installed by Windows (usually it takes 5 to 10 seconds).
Click the "Upgrade" button and confirm the action.
Upgrade progress window will be displayed. It is important not to disconnect or power-off the device during upgrade process as it may cause permanent damage to your device and will void the warranty.
When firmware upgrading completes, the application will display a message on the screen.
It’s now safe to disconnect the device from PC and power it on. You may check actual firmware version using SETUP > Sys Tools > System Info to ensure the device was upgraded.
Under certain conditions, the device may not start after flashing. If it happens, you may need to reset the player. To make a reset you should press hidden Reset switch, which is located next to Hold switch using paper-clip – please press and hold the reset switch for about 5 seconds, then turn on the device in usual way.
